Anna Shkuratoff is a video artist whose work uses a process of dissection, manipulation, and reassembly. She reacts to the struggle of wanting to preserve instances of beauty and nostalgia through a lens. Anna has a background in commercial photography which informs the formal and theoretical questions that drive the production of her works. Anna grew up in Maple Ridge, BC, Canada. She completed a B.F.A. in Visual Art and History in Art at the University of Victoria in 2016 and was shortlisted for the Presentation House Gallery’s Philip B. Lind Emerging Artist prize in 2016.
